To be eligible for the SSC GD Constable, candidates must have passed their Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board or University on or before January 1, 2025. Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only). However, women candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempt from paying the fee. - Type of Questions: All questions will be Objective Multiple-Choice Type.
- Languages: The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Exam Dates: The dates for the Computer-Based Examination will be announced through the Commission’s website.
- No Re-evaluation: There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of scores.

Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Selection Procedure
Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- This initial stage consists of multiple-choice questions that test General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi.
- Candidates need to meet the minimum qualifying marks to progress to the next stage. The minimum qualifying marks are 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for all other categories.
- NCC Certificate holders may receive bonus marks: 5% for NCC ‘C’, 3% for NCC ‘B’, and 2% for NCC ‘A’ Certificates.
- The number of candidates shortlisted for the subsequent stages will be approximately eight times the number of vacancies.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Candidates who qualify the CBE will be invited to take the PET, which assesses their physical endurance through various race distances. This stage is crucial for evaluating the physical fitness necessary for the role.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
