Medical Standards Tests
Medical Standards Tests will be conducted only for candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test. The Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests will be supervised by a Nodal Authority appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs. These tests will be held at various centres, which will be notified after the results of the written examination. Appeals against the Medical Standards Tests can be made to the Appellate Authority designated by the Ministry of Home Affairs within 24 hours after the declaration of the DME results.

Personality Test/ Interview:
- Candidates declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests will be called for an Interview/Personality Test conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
- Candidates declared medically unfit but allowed to appear before the Review Medical Board on appeal will be provisionally called for the Interview/Personality Test.
- The Interview/Personality Test will carry 150 marks.
- Shortlisted candidates, including those provisionally shortlisted, will be issued a Detailed Application Form (DAF) to indicate their preference of Forces.
Final Selection/Merit:
- The merit list will be drawn based on the marks obtained by candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/ Personality Test.
