Note:-

  • A graduate degree from a recognized university or institute approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies is required. The qualification results must have been declared on or before July 1, 2024.   • Candidates should be minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years old as of July 1, 2024.
  • This means candidates must have been born between July 02, 1996, and July 1, 2004.
  • The maximum age limit is applicable for unreserved and EWS candidates
  • Change of category submitted by the applicant will not be permitted at any stage

Selection Method

  • Selection Process Overview:

    • Selection will be conducted through Screening and Personal Interview of shortlisted candidates at the Bank’s discretion.
    • In case of a high volume of applications, the Bank may choose to conduct a written test, which could become the sole selection method.
  • Written Test Notification and Registration:

    • If a written test is included, details will be communicated on the Bank’s website.
    • A registration link for the written test, along with payment instructions, will be provided on the Bank’s website.
    • Candidates must register for the written test to participate; failure to do so will lead to disqualification from further selection stages.
    • Information such as the test date, center, and pattern will be available on the Bank’s website, and candidates should regularly check for updates.
  • Test of Local Language:

    • Candidates applying for training seats in a particular state must demonstrate proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in any one of the local languages of that state. The test for knowledge of the specified opted local language will be conducted as part of the selection process during document verification. Candidates who do not qualify this test will not be selected for the apprentice position. However, candidates who provide a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate demonstrating their study of the local language
  • Eligibility Criteria Examination:

    • The screening committee will verify whether candidates meet the specified eligibility criteria.
    • The Bank will not entertain any representations or correspondence regarding eligibility decisions.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks and Merit List:

    • Candidates need to achieve minimum marks in the interview/ written test (with 5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD candidates).
    • Minimum qualifying marks will be determined by the Bank.
    • A state-wise and category-wise merit list will be prepared based on interview/ written test scores.
    • In case of a tie in marks, candidates will be ranked based on their age in descending order within their respective states and categories.
  • Bank’s Rights and Application Handling:

    • The Bank reserves the right to change (cancel/ modify/ add) selection criteria, methods, and provisional allotment.
    • Applications not meeting the Bank’s requirements may be rejected without explanation, and only eligible candidates will be called for further stages.

Salary and Stipend for UCO Bank Apprentice

During the apprenticeship period, apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000/-, which includes any subsidy provided by the Government of India. However, apprentices are not eligible for any additional allowances or benefits.

  • UCO Bank will deposit Rs 10,500/- monthly into the apprentice’s bank account.
  • The Government’s share of the stipend, amounting to Rs 4,500/-, will be directly credited to the apprentice’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, following applicable guidelines.

Other Terms of Engagement of Apprentice:

  • Candidates should not have undergone apprenticeship with UCO Bank or any other organization previously, nor should they be currently pursuing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961. Those terminated from any previous apprenticeship are ineligible.
  • Candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after completing their educational qualifications are not eligible for apprenticeship.
  • Apprentices are considered trainees and not employees of the Bank. They are not entitled to employee benefits or covered under labor laws.
  • Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee employment with the Bank.
  • The Bank has no obligation to offer regular employment to apprentices during or after the apprenticeship period.
  • Apprentices will be relieved from their roles immediately upon completing the apprenticeship period and have no right to claim regular employment based on their training.
  • The Bank does not provide transport, hostel facilities, or residential accommodation for apprentices during training.
  • Selected candidates must sign a Contract of Apprenticeship before starting training and are liable to refund the training costs and stipend received if they fail to complete the training without valid reasons.
  • Apprentices will be governed by the Apprentices Act 1961 and Bank policies during their training period.
  • The contract of apprenticeship automatically terminates upon completion of the training period, and no separate notice will be issued.
  • Failure to report to the Bank’s training venue on the commencement date of on-the-job training will result in immediate termination of the apprenticeship contract without notice or compensation.
