Selection Process

The selection shall be held in three phases as under:

First Phase:-

  • The first phase of the selection process is a written examination. This examination will consist of two objective-type papers containing multiple-choice questions. The exam will be held at designated centers.

Second Phase:-

Candidates who pass the written examination will be eligible for the second phase, which consists of document verification, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Document Verification:

  • You will need to present the original copies of all documents that prove your eligibility for the applied position.
  • A selection board will screen and verify your documents to ensure you meet the requirements for age, educational qualifications, technical qualifications, and any applicable Physical Standards Test (PST) relaxations.
  • If you are applying under the EWS reservation category, you must possess a valid “Income & Asset Certificate” issued by the Competent Authority as per the format provided in Annexure – ‘E’ on the crucial date.
  • Candidates who haven’t obtained the essential educational and technical qualifications by the application closing date will not be eligible for this exam.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

Candidates who qualify through the Document Verification process will undergo a Physical Measurement Test (PMT) administered by the selection board. This test assesses whether candidates meet the required height, weight, and chest circumference according to the prescribed physical standards, as mentioned below.

  • Height: Min. 165 cms
  • Chest:
    • Unexpanded – 81 cms
    • Expanded – 86 cms
  • Weight: Corresponding to height but not less than 50 Kgs (weight will be measured at the time of Medical Examination Test).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

To qualify for the next stage, candidates must pass the following events in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
